Jill and family of Ken, We read in last night's Omaha World Herald of Ken's death. He was a good man and fine administrator for the Westside Schools. It was a privilege to work with him. There are few left of the 'old guard.' Sending our sympathy.

My sincerest sympathy to Dr. Kenneth Hansen's family. Please know in your hearts that he was a man filled with smiles, warmth, understanding and a HUGE willingness to guide his flock. I will never forget the big hug that I received at Homecoming, 1963 - seems just like yesterday.

You always had a smile and managed to keep it with all the shenanigans your high school charges put you through. Your kindness and your guidance will be missed.

The Class of '62 just held our 50th reunion in June. We had many memories and stories were relived about our "head master" Ken Hansen. He was someone who made a difference. May he rest in peace. Condolences to his family.

To the Family of Dr. Ken Hansen, Dr. Hansen was a gift to this world. Vision, values, integrity, and kind wisdom will live one in each of us who were graced to be affiliated with him in one way or another. I am a Westside grad, and proud of it. Dr. Hansen will live on in so very many of us, and we will pass on the honest wisdom he taught us. May God grant comfort to your family, Dr. Hansen, and may He hold you in His mighty right hand in Heaven forever.
